 |
Efficient Heating: Loft
insulation is installed in the roof; double glazing is
fitted throughout the property and an efficient, modern
boiler is installed. The entire property's energy is supplied
through electricity (and not gas). |
 |
Efficient Appliances: New
kitchen appliances were installed a few years ago, all
with high energy ratings. If the apartment is vacant for
any length of time then the fridge freezer is turned off.

 |
Green Energy Supply: Plymouth
Holidays is currently in the process of reviewing its
energy suppliers with the aim of switching across to electricity
supplied from renewable energy sources. |
 |
Use of Public Transport:
We encourage guests to use environmentally friendly modes
of transport. This now extends to offering a 10%
discount on your booking if you travel to Plymouth
by train, coach or ferry. There is a cycle rack on the
premises and we will shortly be adding bus timetables
to the information provided at the property. |
 |
Recycling: Plymouth Council
does not currently offer a recycling collection for the
property. We hope to persuade them to rectify this situation
soon but in the meantime we intend to introduce our own
collection facility. A recycling box and details of what
can be recycled will be provided in the property. |
 |
Green Advice: We are currently
putting together an information pack for the apartment.
This will include tips on saving energy during your stay. |
 |
The Little Things: We have
already taken some steps to ensure the products we buy
are environmentallysound but look to take this further
over the coming
months. This includes changes such as using energy efficient
light bulbs, recycled toilet paper, ecologically friendly
washing powders and so forth. |
